FBFC Helps Raise Money During National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month

During the month of September, National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, First Bank Financial Centre (FBFC) partnered with the Grafton School District to raise $5,230 for the MACC Fund and Gold in September.

Monies raised for Gold in September were in honor of Olivia Stern, a kindhearted 14 year old cancer warrior, currently living with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.  Fundraising activities included selling  t-shirts, gold rubber wristbands and coordinating a bank sponsored bake sale. mphoblastic Leukemia, but more importantly she is living with hope and purpose. How did she celebrate her birthday? She picked up a check for $5230 that was raised by First Bank Financial Centre (FBFC) in her honor for MACC Fund - Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer, Inc. and Gold in September. “I am amazed and overjoyed by the Grafton School District and Grafton Community. Olivia wanted to raise awareness of the color gold representing Childhood Cancer and a community stepped up to make that happen.  I’m so proud to work at FBFC.  We are making a difference”, said Kris Barger, Branch Manager of FBFC.
