FBFC Turns 160!
We have been making lives better in the communities we serve since 1859. That makes us older than the Civil War, older than the Great Depression, older than radio, television and the internet, and maybe even older than Keith Richards (no one really knows)! Please enjoy this page and the slivers of history we’ve included to show you where we came from. There are even opportunities for you to help us give money away, and win some money for yourself. Peruse away!

Happy Anniversary, FBFC!
It’s no wonder you’ve been in the business for 160 years – you are the best at what you do! Typically I am someone who prefers the convenience of a drive-thru, or I take advantage of the ability to call-ahead so as to “get in and get out” of my destination quickly. But that is not the case when I head to the bank because I look forward to stopping in to visit my First Bank friends – particularly the Hartland branch where I am always greeted by name, with a smile, a handshake and sometimes even a hug! In all of my interactions with First Bank, whether it be lending, opening an account, or attending a FBFC-sponsored event, I have been treated with the utmost respect and professionalism. Hats off to you, FBFC!
My wife and I have been FBFC customers for many years and it is very easy to say good things about the experience.
We are customers that frequently use the Hartland and Brookfield offices and always treated with not only terrific and timely service, but with a smile and a feeling of being made welcome and appreciated.
It is nice to have a relationship like that where customer service is a fact instead of just a slogan.
Congratulations on your anniversary! Keep up the great work.

Our mission is to “connect seniors with caring volunteers,” enabling our elderly citizens to remain in their homes longer, aging in place. Volunteers provide help with things like transportation to the doctor, help around the house, or our newest program – Interfaith Canines, bringing certified therapy dogs into the private home of dog-loving seniors who can no longer care for a pet.
The topic of suicide and effects of thought, attempt, and loss are too often silenced by shame, guilt, and stigma, but LiFE OF HOPE is creating a movement to change the landscape of prevention - proving that HOPE, healing, and LiFE are not only possible - they are best experienced in the celebration of the journey. In only four years, LiFE OF HOPE has connected its LiFE-Saving mission with more than 5,000 people; over 120 (ages 8-72) have come with thoughts/in crisis and to date, none have been lost to suicide.
