FBFC Turns 160!
We have been making lives better in the communities we serve since 1859. That makes us older than the Civil War, older than the Great Depression, older than radio, television and the internet, and maybe even older than Keith Richards (no one really knows)! Please enjoy this page and the slivers of history we’ve included to show you where we came from. There are even opportunities for you to help us give money away, and win some money for yourself. Peruse away!
Hear From The Community
Dave and I began banking at First Bank Financial Centre (then the Bank of Oconomowoc) as soon as we were married and moved to Oconomowoc. I worked at "the bank on the corner" the first years of our married life but then, of course, had to leave when I was five months pregnant, as was the standard then. It's wonderful to have a community bank and we've had excellent, personalized service and are happy to call the employees friends. Congratulations First Bank...….160 years is an admirable thing!!!
I've been a customer of FBFC since 1986 after my divorce. I go to the main branch in downtown Oconomowoc. The employees always greet me with a smile and call me by my name. They have gone above and beyond for me a few times the last time being when I dropped off my Oconomowoc Utility bill to be paid, but the check had fallen out of the open envelope and they had called and left a message that the check wasn't with the statement. I like their helpfulness. Congratulations on 160 years. I like doing my banking business with you.
FBFC has made banking easy and straightforward for me! The staff know me and understand my banking needs. They are always available and willing to answer any questions I have and suggest services that could enhance my financial well-being. Whether in-person, by phone, or online, staff and resources are readily available when I need them. I love that FBFC is local and would recommend their services to any Greater Milwaukee resident who is looking for a bank they can trust!
My family has been banking with FBFC since 1979 when we moved here from Florida. I was 8 years old, and excited to open a savings account for my "piggy bank" money. Here we are, 40 years later, and I am still a loyal customer. I kept the tradition alive, and took my own daughter to open her first savings account as a little girl, and she too remains a loyal customer. FBFC focuses on supporting the community, putting customer service first, and keeping up with modern banking trends, all while maintaining that small town bank atmosphere that makes us all feel like family. I would not put my financial trust in any other bank. Congratulations on 160 years! Well done!
The Gables of Germantown has been working with First Bank Financial Centre for over 8 years. We couldn’t ask for more caring and helpful banking professionals. Not only have we developed a wonderful business relationship, but friendships as well. On behalf of the Gables residents and staff, we couldn’t be happier with our FBFC team!! We love being a part of their "Fill the Bus" for school supplies every year and the Christmas Present Wrapping Charity Events! We are so fortunate to have First Bank Financial Centre for our on-site banking and our residents know they are in good hands. Thanks to all of you and congratulations on your 160th anniversary!!

Since 2001, Lake Area Free Clinic has been providing high-quality comprehensive health care to low income residents of Waukesha County. In 2017, LAFC added a 6-chair Dental Clinic serving Medicaid and uninsured patients. Medical and Dental combined had 7,686 patient visits in 2018.
Lake Country Caring provides basic necessities to those in need, such as clothing, household items, furniture and appliances, children's items, and hygiene products. The concept is similar to Goodwill in that the community donates their gently used items; the difference is everything is given and not sold. Last year we served approximately 3,200 clients and registered 300 new families.
Hartland-based Wisconsin Upside Down provides support for people with Down syndrome and other disabilities. WIUSD.ORG believes that people with Down syndrome and other disabilities deserve the same opportunities for happiness as everyone else in our community.
